Timetric

Inkling Software, based in Cambridge in the United Kingdom, today released the first public beta of Timetric, a Web service for making sense of the numbers that surround us.

Timetric is a web application for recording, managing, tracking, modelling and sharing the movement of numbers over time. Timetric brings sophisticated time series graphing, modelling and analysis to the Web; through its rich API it integrates with the existing ecosystem of data-producing and data-consuming Web applications.

Timetric also makes it easy to find the data you’re looking for: it has been populated with over eighty thousand high-quality time series from various public sources, covering social, political, environmental and economic data, and more are added every week.

Timetric is developed by Inkling Software, a company founded by three former academic researchers; they received PhDs from the University of Cambridge and the Royal Institution of Great Britain. Inkling Software closed its first angel round in September 2008, from a team of private investors based in Dublin, Ireland.
